Dr. Shimi Kang
Co-Founder & CEO
Dr. Shimi Kang believes every person has the innate ability to live their highest potential. An award-winning researcher, and leading expert on the neuroscience of innovation, connection, and resilience, Dr. Shimi Kang is the CEO & Founder of Future-ready Minds. Dr. Kang is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of British Columbia where she researches and teaches on topics of mental health, wellness and motivation.

She is the author of the #1 Best-seller of The Dolphin Parent, the critically acclaimed, Tech Solution: Healthy Habits for a Digital World, and The Self- Motivated Kid - the winner of the US News International Book Award. Dr. Kang has helped countless children, youth and adults move towards the key 21st century skills of CQ – creativity, collaboration, communication, critical thinking and contribution. Dr. Shimi Kang is the Co-Founder of Get Sparky app, & host of the YouTube show, Mental Wealth with Dr. Shimi Kang.

She is the recipient of the YWCA Women of Distinction Award, WXN Canada’s 100 Most Powerful Women Award, the Governor General’s Award for Leadership, and the Jubilee Medal for community service. Dr. Shimi Kang is most proud of being a mom of 3 awesome yet exhausting children.
Jasbir Hundal
Clinical Director
Jasbir is a Registered Social Worker (BC College of Social Workers) and has a Masters in Social Work (University of Victoria). She obtained her Certificate in Advanced Facilitation & Consultation from the Justice Institute of BC. She specializes in training in the areas of Anti-Racism, Diversity and Inclusion, Leadership Change Management, and Conflict Resolution.

She has over 15 years of experience working with individuals who have struggled with trauma, complex life transitions, addictions, relationship issues, and mental health concerns. She utilizes an anti-oppressive framework with an emphasis on intersectionality and existentialism. For the past 10 years she has actively engaged in facilitating psycho-educational programs in the areas of intimate partner violence substance use and violence prevention.
